The University of Nottingham
In 1948, Nottingham college was awarded the Royal Charter and became The University of Nottingham, now able to award degrees in its own name. During this period the School of Agriculture was established when the Midland College of Agriculture at Sutton Bonington merged with the University.
The University of Nottingham are strongly committed to equality of opportunity for all students. They welcome disabled and dyslexic students and aim to ensure that, as far as possible, appropriate support is offered to meet all needs.
The legislation requires them to make ‘reasonable adjustments’ to their services so that disabled students are not placed at a ‘substantial disadvantage’, with this in mind a changing place toilet was installed in order to create more accessibility and meet best practice. It was installed in Summer 2017, via a request from Keir construction to Kingkraft.
